The Death to Internet Explorer 11 countdown is a silly project that notes when Internet Explorer 11 will inevitably die. It is unofficial and speculative, but it's nice to hope a little bit.

I started this project in mid 2018 and it grew a lot more than anticipated. at first, it was just a header and the countdown, with barely any visitors other than my friends and coworkers. Now there's a second countdown, one of which notes the mainstream support and the other. notes the extended support, it also features a list of articles that details reasons to drop Internet Explorer 11 support (before the countdown ends) and a list of websites, companies and web apps that already dropped support. There are now over 7 000 monthly unique visitors and over 11 000 monthly site views.
